Mt. Hermon here we come!!!!

Well tomorrow my family and I are going on our yearly vacation to Mt. Hermon. For the last three years we have been renting a cabin named "Treetop," we love it soooooooo much! It has a deck and windows that wrap around the whole cabin and it sits on top of a hill. So when you look out it really gives the feeling of being in the treetops. On the back deck there are tons of bird feeders and one of my favorite things to do is to get up in the morning and watch all the birds as they eat their breakfast. :)
Mt. Hermon is Christian conference center located in the Santa Cruz mountains that has been in operation for more than a 100 years. Both my parents went there with their families growing up and my dad spent so much time there with friends that he was practically considered part of the staff.
My first time at Mt. Hermon I believe I was about thirteen or so. My parents were newly divorced and my dad decided he, my brother, and I would go there for a summer vacation. I have to admit while I LOVE to go to Mt. Hermon now I DID NOT like going as a teenager. Not sure why but I am so thankful that my dad kept signing us up every year! Now it is a family tradition and it is Samantha's favorite place to go. She had to write a paper for school about her favorite place to go and she wrote it on Mt. Hermon. I do have to say though she has it a lot nicer than her dad and I did growing up. She is staying in a beautiful cabin complete with a hot tub while we stayed in the conference center's housing. Not quite the same. LOL
Well I will be updating my blog with pictures and all the family fun. The theme this year is "Mt. Hermon presents Family Camp 2008." It has like a movie/Hollywood feel to it with a barbecue on Sunday complete with a red carpet. Can you say, "SAM IS IN HEAVEN!" She has been planning her outfit for weeks.
