What a couple of days it has been. Tuesday night is a night I will never forget. We all sat by the TV. and watched as Barack Obama became the first African-American President of the United States. His speech literally brought tears to my eyes.
While I know it was the younger generation that got out and "rocked" the vote, I can't help of all those who came before and gave their lives so that their dreams for this country could become a reality. The ones who marched, protested, faced being beaten by police, and were ready to lay down their lives so that future generations might be treated as equals, are the ones that made it possible for Obama to become our 44th President of the United States.
Tomorrow I am off to Tracy to visit with my BFF Vicki who is in town helping out her mom after her surgery. We are going to hang out and have a "girl’s night out." It’s been way to long since I've had one of those. :) I will try to take some pics.
