Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to everyone!! I can’t believe it is almost the middle of January. We rang in the New Year at my Grandmother’s house. This is her first Christmas and New Year without my grandfather and it’s been hard for her. So we all went over there and had dinner and watched the ball drop. Good Times!
I have a few goals for the year. Graduate from school, find a job, focus on my health, and get out more with my friends. On Ali Edwards blog she challenged everyone to come up with a word that sums up their hopes for 2009. She says,"A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow."(Ali Edwards)
I choose "strength." The "strength" to recognize the things I need to change and the "strength" to change them!!
Her blog as well as a few others are also doing a project where they ask you to take a picture a day. There is a kit you can get but I’m just doing it on my own. I think it will be cool to look back in 2010 and see each picture and the memories they all hold. A few months back Ali had a "week in the life challenge" and it was to take pictures of all the things you did for a week. Today I printed them off so that I can put together the album and it’s really interesting how just a few pictures can tell what is going on in your life. I plan on doing one each year.
I am happy to say that my blog has been awarded the "Lovely Blog Award"
by Rocio. Thank you!!!! Now I have to nominate 7 other blogs, I’m not sure can come up with 7, but I’ll try.
Last night I went scrapping and had such a good time. It is so great to end my week with such great friends!! We literally laugh all night long. It is waaaaaaaay fun. (that’s for Carla and Satyn) Carla mentioned that she missed the movies I used to make, so I’m makin one for ya, keep your eye out for it.
To everyone who reads my blog, all of about 4 people (LOL), I hope 2009 brings you much happiness!! Remember to focus on what’s really important, family and friends, and treasure every moment with them.
Below are a few pictures from New Year’s.
