First Day of School

Well Sam survived the first day of 4th grade. Getting out of bed this morning was a little difficult, she was a little nervous and could not fall asleep last night, but once she was awake she got in the groove. I went up to help her get all "glamed" up for her first day. She looked so cute and so grown up. I've said it before, I cannot believe she is now a 4th grader.
Once she was dressed and had breakfast we were off. Well at least that's what we thought. I am backing out of Nathan's driveway when WHAM I hit something. Nathan's neighbor and I backed into each other. NICE way to start Sam off for school. :) The lady's must of thought there was no damage cuz she just kept on going down the hill. However I got out and of course my car had a nice little dent in it.
So after that wonderful incident we were on our way. We found out what room Sam was in and then went and stood by her room. To her surprise she had a handful of kids in her class that she had in her last year's class. It made her feel good to see some familiar faces. The bell rang and her teacher,Mrs. Paris, opened the door and let the kids come in and pick their seats. She told the parents to feel free to come in and look around. She gave a quick overview of how things worked in her class and then told the kids to say goodbye to mom and dad. I think Sam lucked out with her teacher this year, she seems extremely nice and outgoing.
It was cute once we left Nathan pointed out to me that one of the little boys who had a crush on Sam last year was in her class and when they picked their seats sat right next to her. Too cute!
We went and picked her up and she came out with a smile on her face, so it seems she had a great day. Below are some pics from today.
